Second Grade Saxon Math: Part 1
In this course, we will discover Math in a fun, hands-on way. Students will engage in activities that help strengthen their understanding of Math concepts. We will follow the Saxon Curriculum, which is a spiral curriculum.

Beginner Level
In this first unit, students will be introduced to beginning Second Grade Math skills. I love manipulatives and using visuals to help students grasp and understand concepts. I believe a strong foundation in Math is key for future understanding. We will be using the Saxon Math curriculum, which is a spiral curriculum. I love the spiral curriculum because it's not a one and done type of lesson. Concepts continue to show up throughout the entire curriculum.
Learning Goals
Hi! In these first 8 lessons, students will learn how to identify numbers 1 -100, how to read and use a hundreds chart, how to graph data, identify one more/one less, tell time to the hour, finding attributes of pattern blocks, and much more!
