Class Experience

US Grade 2
In this interactive class, we will learn 2-3 sight words a week, read a story, learn comprehension strategies, and practice decoding skills. To develop decoding and spelling skills, we will also practice writing, reading, and playing with words. During these lessons, your child will have an opportunity to read, write, and learn. Your child will refine reading and decoding strategies. Students will have plenty of opportunities to participate.
I have over 20 years of experience teaching elementary students to refine their reading skills.
Students should be able to read first-grade passages, decode short vowel and long vowel words, and know at least 100 sight words.
