Class Experience

Hello and welcome to guided reading! Guided reading is an essential part of any young reader's education. This is a time where they can challenge themselves to learn and grow! 

As a former teacher, I am very familiar with the common reading assessments used in schools and I know how to help students meet the goals set forth by Common Core standards. 

Finding the right level for your student is crucial for a successful guided reading group. This group is at level L/M. 

If you are unsure of...

Students will need to print the weekly text packet. It is typically three pages long. Students should also have a pencil and either crayons, colored pencils, or highlighters.

1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
