Seasons of Joy: Waldorf-Inspired Seasonal Circle Time for Little Ones

Join us once a week for a circle time experience from my Waldorf-inspired early childhood curriculum, Seasons of Joy. We will experience the beauty of springtime through music, movement, pretend, rhymes, make-believe, and storytelling.

Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Join us each week for a seasonal circle time! We will spend two weeks on each circle time topic, and because this is an ongoing class, you can join us at any time. You are welcome to create your own special place and rituals surrounding circle time. Many learners have their own special spaces, battery-operated candles, or special dolls or other stuffed friends to join in. Each week will begin by reciting a gathering poem, lighting a candle, and singing a hello song. Likewise, each circle time will end with an end-of-circle time. In between, we will spend several weeks on each circle theme.

PLEASE NOTE: Because my Seasons of Joy circle times are proprietary curriculum created by me, as well as to protect the privacy of our littlest learners who are just beginning to understand how Outschool works, I do NOT release class videos, as per Outschool policy. I do try to add songs and rhymes to the classroom to help you repeat elements of circle time at home. Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns about this policy.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Parents are welcome to observe and assist their children as they participate in circle time, staying off screen as much as possible, as per Outschool policies. My hope is that you will them be able to carry this on into your week as part of your daily routine.
Supply List
All materials are able to be adapted to what you have on hand-- homemade is great!-- and most are optional but may be used to enhance the experience.

Each week, please have on hand the following. We may not always use them, but they come in handy!
* A play silk. "Silks" can be anything from actual playsilks to light muslin or cotton baby blankets, dishtowels, light pieces of material, juggling or dance scarves, or scarves found at the thrift store.
* A drum or something like it
* Something to shake (egg shaker, rattle, etc)
* A bell or something to jingle/twinkle
* A beanbag or something like it
* Your own candle (battery-operated ones are great for independence!) if you wish
