In "Seasoned With Fun: Homemade Queso!", students will practice basic math skills such as counting, weighing, measuring, tracking time; they also gain social skills by working together and communicating in the kitchen, as well as teaching responsibility. Each learner has a tasks to complete to contribute the baking preparation and cleanup. This is a multidisciplinary course emphasizing English language and culinary skills. Please note that active parent/guardian supervision is suggested for the cooking portion of class. Every class in the "Seasoned With Fun" series will have students learning through a combination of peer discussions and teacher-led activities. Through the use of live video meetings (including hands-on activities), printable resources and lively conversations, students will delve into "Seasoned With Fun."

Queso Ingredients: 8 oz block Mexican Velveeta Cheese 4 oz can of diced or chopped green chilis 8 oz fire roasted salsa (not Pace) 2 tsp salt 1/2 cup heavy cream 1 tablespoon hot sauce (like Cholula or Valentina's) 1 container of pico de gallo (usually found in produce near bagged salads) OR the 5 ingredients below pico to make it in class: 1 medium tomato 1 small onion 1 jalapeno pepper 1 bunch of cilantro 1 lime
