30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Let's spend some time tidying and decluttering our spaces. Learners will be coached through a series of tasks in a relaxed atmosphere. Learners should come ready to work - with a garbage bag and donations box (or bag) ready to use! We will do tasks together in real time, and learners will be encouraged to share their progress and successes through brief check-ins between tasks, and will encourage each other along. This session will be fast paced, but low stress. We’ll have some fun and get stuff done so that we can get ready to go back to school with a clean and tidy space. (PS - Regardless of the season where you live, we'd still love to have your child join in! Sessions of this class will often be scheduled around seasonal or school holidays - but it will not matter what specific holiday your family does or does not celebrate, or what the school schedule is for your family or region. All are welcome to come and work together.)
Learning Goals
Students will gain experience using a number of tidying and decluttering techniques including using a timer to stay focused, and questions to consider when deciding what to declutter from their space.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a teacher, a tutor and a mom from British Columbia, Canada. I currently am teaching full time in the public school system and enjoy tutoring and coaching part-time on Outschool as well.
As a child academics came very easily for me, but personal organization did not. I was the kind of kid who had a messy room and a messy desk, and later a messy locker, apartment and car! Kids who struggle with math or writing, often get support. Kids who struggle with life skills instead tend to get judged and treated like they are just lazy or don't care. I cared and my inability to figure out how to keep things tidy was frustrating, stressful and embarrassing!
I have studied and learned ways to work with my brain to get and keep things clean and organized. I love working with kids and teens who need a little extra encouragement, support and training in this area - and offer judgement-free, kindness based coaching for kids.
I really hope to get to meet and work with your children.
