Oh no!! The Annual Snowman Competition has been canceled today because it was discovered that all of the snowmen built for the contest were smashed into pieces! All of the contestants are mad about the destruction of their snowmen. They want answers NOW! The contestants and judges need our Math Detectives help!! In this super fun mystery, students must use their math skills to discover five very important clues about the case: When were the snowmen smashed? What was used to smash the snowmen?...
Student will review and practice: -identifying missing numbers in a counting sequence -subtraction facts (1-20) -addition facts (1-20) -comparing numbers up to 65 (greatest and least) -place value models (up to 20 only)
Students will need: -6 PDF files printed before class (provided by teacher) -pencil -glue -scissors -markers, crayons, or colored pencils
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is recommended when our youngest learners are using scissors.
