In this class students, will learn fun facts about seahorses and draw a seahorse. After reviewing facts about seahorses students will draw a seahorse using the technique of directed drawing. The students will follow along, as I break the drawing down into simple easy to follow steps. After students have completed their drawings, we will use watercolors to paint our pictures together. Some students may need to finish painting after class, this will depend on drying time and the students working pace.

Students will need for this class: drawing paper black crayon or black permanent marker water color paints paint brush cup of water paper towels or rag (in case of spill)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hi my name is Lynn and I am excited to be teaching on Outschool.
I graduated with a bachelor degree in education. I am a certified teacher with an endorsement in Pre-K - 4th grade.
I taught first grade for 18 years and I have taught kindergarten for the last 11 years. I also have over 15 years of experience volunteering with pre-schoolers and young adults. I love teaching and making an impact on children of all ages. I feel so blessed to be able to have a job I love!
I believe that learning should be interactive and fun as well as educational. I also believe that all children learn and develop at their own pace and I believe in meeting children where they are when they come to my class. I will offer a variety of activities in my classes to enhance each students learning experience.
In my free time I enjoy riding my bike, crafting with my cricut, reading, going to the beach and pool, shopping and spending time with my family and friends.
