Keep getting creative ;) & check out paintwithlovejoy.comAssessment
Creativity is a very personalized process, I encourage my students to take "Progress photos" so that when done, they can look back at how they transformed a blank canvas into a painting. These photos are a great visual documentation of their learning. In a year or 5 years, they can look back at their photos and realize how far their skills have come. Thus boosting their morale/ self-esteem to do more creative things.Class Experience
No experience is needed to take this course, Perfect for first-time & Beginner Painters. In this course, Lovejoy will guide you through the step-by-step process to create this fun sea turtle silhouette. You will get comfortable with mixing paint, creating a background, and getting comfortable with blending. With the silhouette, you will get comfortable with: drawing with a brush, brush pressure, and strengthening your power of observation. The class instruction is about 45 minutes, I have a slideshow & video to demonstrate the process. If students do not finish within that time frame they are welcome to keep working on their own. Through the instruction, they will have a nice foundation to continue on their own. Lovejoy has a very patient and encouraging teaching style, she understands that painting/creativity is unique to each person. She is able to give personalized feedback based on where each student is. Painting is like handwriting, each person has their own unique style. Lovejoy will share a step-by-step video in lecture/discussion style through Zoom. The class will progress together through the 60 minutes with questions answered as they come up. There will be a few times that Lovejoy will ask all the students to hold up their paintings to the camera so she can see everyone's progress, as well as the students seeing others' work and giving encouraging feedback.
