In this 2-day interactive class, students will use Scratch to code a fireworks show, just in time to celebrate the new year! Through this creative coding project, they’ll learn key coding concepts like loops, events, and timing as they build colorful fireworks effects. On Day 1, we’ll begin with the basics, setting up a night sky background and coding the first fireworks animation. We’ll learn how to use loops to make animations smooth and add interactive elements to trigger each firework. On Day 2, we’ll expand with more fireworks colors and shapes, add sound effects, and create a countdown to launch the fireworks show! My teaching style is interactive and fun, ensuring students are fully engaged in learning. We’ll work step-by-step with plenty of time for each learner to customize their fireworks display, and we’ll finish with a group showcase to share our New Year’s creations!
