This will be an on going class on Scratch Jr. coding. Each week we will do a new lesson/ challenge that will enhance our skills.
Class experience
This class is for beginners and learners new to coding. Students will learn to do basic coding using the app. Scratch Jr. Each week we will do a new challenge/ lesson to add to our coding skills. We will go to the app and break it down by exploring each function. I will break it down into simple steps by modeling it step by step as students follow along and create a slide. Students will improve their understanding of coding using Scratch Jr.
I have 26 years of teaching experience and two master’s degrees plus 30. I am certified in elementary education, early childhood education, special education, learning disabilities and Primary Montessori. I have attended Pathfinders month long summer institute for three years where we get specific and direct training on Scratch Jr, Scratch and coding.
