Description

Class Experience

By the end of this course, the student should have a good grasp of the programming concepts covered and how to use them to design and create projects.

They will...
     • Learn programming vocabulary
     • Learn how to use code blocks
     • Learn about sprites, movement, communication and effects
     • Create interactive stories and animations
There may be optional homework if the student wants to review and complete what was covered in class or add additional code to the project.
 1 file available upon enrollment
An internet connection and laptop or desktop computer are required to complete the projects. Students will be given a link at the beginning of the first class and we will walk through setting up their free Scratch account. As we walk through the setup, if the student is not familiar with how to navigate around a browser such as Chrome or Internet Explorer, it is suggested that a parent be present to assist if needed.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
6 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
