In this class students will be taught how to write the Script to create their own interactive project on Scratch...all about themselves! The focus of the project could be about one of the learners role models instead. Students will then learn to create a new Scratch project that uses simple coding to show their subjects hobbies/likes/interests. We will: Learn how to add Sprites and edit their size and position. Learn to add a background. Code the sprites to make them interactive. Learn to add sounds to our project. You should sign up for a Scratch account prior to class and be logged into your free Scratch account ready for class to start.Sign up here....https://scratch.mit.edu/

Teacher expertise and credentials
Welcome to my teaching profile. I am a British teacher and I specialize in offering social and creative classes for children. I am an inclusive, engaging, and fun educator. I encourage you to take a moment to read through my reviews to get a sense of what other parents have experienced in my classes.
My approach to teaching places your child at the centre of the learning experience. I believe in fostering positive relationships with my students to ensure that they leave each class feeling included and happy.
Inclusivity is a core value of mine, and I take great pride in it. I'm dedicated to creating the best possible experience for your child in my classes. I have an easy-going teaching style and aim to make learning enjoyable. I also encourage both students and parents to communicate with me as much as needed. In the world of remote classes, there are no silly questions, and I understand that visualizing online learning can be challenging.
If your child has any specific learning preferences or needs, please reach out to me before the class. I'm committed to ensuring that every student can access and benefit from my classes. For example, if English is an additional language for your child, I'm more than happy to provide keyword sheets in advance if requested.
My background includes 14 years of classroom experience, and my training is focussed on Design and Technology, but expands to roles in Special Education. I taught in UK classrooms until 2020, and now I exclusively teach on Outschool, where I'm excited to continue nurturing young minds.
