This club is perfect for students who have already mastered the basics of Scratch and are eager to explore more advanced concepts in a fun and supportive setting. Why Join? Join a community that celebrates your creativity, supports your growth, and turns coding ideas into real, playable games! Whether you’re looking to build cool projects, make friends, or take on exciting new challenges in Scratch, this club is the perfect place to dive deeper and have fun! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What We'll Cover: Hands-On Projects: Students will tackle new projects each week, designing unique games. Skill Building: Learn intermediate coding techniques such as variables, loops, and conditionals to boost problem-solving abilities. Collaboration: Share ideas, collaborate, and give positive feedback in a fun, safe environment. Confidence Boost: Watch coding confidence grow with every completed project. Patient Guidance: Our instructors create a kind, encouraging atmosphere, helping each student feel inspired and supported. Join a community that celebrates your victories and encourages you to grow! ____________________________________________________________ Tech For the best coding experience, mobile students are encouraged to have one device for coding and one device for Zoom.📱💻 Students who are coding on computers can use the same device for both if they know how to switch back and forth between the two applications. Headsets are not necessary, but do provide a more focused experience and tend to block out more background noise. 🎧 Before Class Students should ensure their devices are compatible with the Scratch 3.0 app or can access the Scratch website. Students should also be comfortable with the device they will be coding on as this class does not help with computer literacy skills. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fall 2024 Week of 8/5 Drawing Game Week of 8/12 Shop Game Week of 8/19 Wall Dodger Coin Collecting Game Week of 8/26 Flying Birds Game Week of 9/2 Scrolling Background Advanced Week of 9/9 Crab Jump Game Week of 9/16 2-Player Racing Game Week of 9/23 Whack-a-Mole Week of 9/30 Two Player Soccer Game Week of 10/7 Pop Ball Week of 10/14 Platformer Week of 10/21 Food Truck Frenzy Intermediate Week of 10/28 Dress Up Game Week of 11/4 Baseball Animation Week of 11/11 Search and Find Week of 11/18 Game Over and You Win Template Week of 11/25 Flying Cat Week of 12/2 All About Me Week of 12/9 Car Dodge Week of 12/16 Tour Guide Week of 12/23 Custom Digital Card Week of 12/30 Seasonal Event
