####Register Scratch account at https://scratch.mit.edu/#### This course will teach the basics of Scratch and Block Based Coding. This course will have a rotation of 4 different projects. The goal is to give each student the tools to create, problem solve, and expand their projects outside of class. I give each student the skills to expand on each project according to their imagination, creativity, and problem solving ability. My class is structured in a show, try, and then do format....
This class is taught in English.
- Students will learn block based coding in Scratch - Scratch format - Basic vocabulary for the Scratch - Trigger Blocks - Motion Blocks - Loops - Sound Blocks - Message Blocks - Animation - Pages - Making your own sounds - Variables - Conditionals
I have taught Computer Science with K - 5 students for the last 5 years. Additionally I have taught many years as a Kindergarten and 2nd grade classroom teacher.
Assessment
Frequency: available upon requestDetails: Assessments will not being required. Each class will have a Next Step or extension. The student will have the opportunity to showcase learning by extending the lesson or concept to a more complex level.
