MIT developed Scratch 3.0 is a fun way to learn the basics of coding. Students in this course would have double the fun when they learn how to create video games while incorporating their favourite superheroes. Please ensure you have a free scratch account created before the class. Learners will create the following video games: Day 1, 2 and 3 : Spiderman Game : In this project, students will learn to set sprite's position and move it around using x-y coordinates. Student will also explore the Looks block to add more effects to the game Day 4, 5 and 6: Hawkeye the Archer: Students will learn to change the position of various sprites using x and y coordinates. Students will also create two practice levels and a final level where the variables will be created to keep a tab on score for Hawkeye and the enemy. Day 7, 8 and Day 9 : Hulk Game: In this project, students will create a variables for Hulk's lives. Students will also learn to use Logical operators along with If-Then block. Day 10, 11 and 12 : Thanos and Infinity Stones Game : Students will learn to create a multi-level Game. Students will use motions block to jump and move the sprites, add sound effects and also learn to use not operator block. Day 13, 14 and 15 : Captain America and Ironman Team up: Students will learn to create a 2 player game. Students will use Pick random operator for Aliens to appear. They will also create clones of missiles shot by Captain America and Iron Man This is a highly interactive class where students would be answering questions and discussing their own creative ideas with the teacher. The teacher would follow the pace of the students and will complete the projects accordingly. Basic knowledge of Scratch would help though is not mandatory.
