MIT developed Scratch 3.0 is a fun way to learn the basics of coding. Students in this course would have double the fun when they learn how to create video games while incorporating their favourite Disney princess. Please ensure you have a free scratch account created before the class and are using a laptop for coding. This class cannot be taken on any tablet since the games will not be supported on it. Learners will create the following video games: Day 1 ,2 and 3 : Ariel's Underwater battle : Students will learn to create variables like score and lives, also learn to create clone and randomly attack the sea monster. Day 4 , 5 and 6: Guess Elsa's Frozen Art: Students will use extension "pen" in this project. Students will code Elsa to draw random drawings as questions and take the input in the answer block. Day 7, 8 and 9: Rapunzel Talks : Students will learn about Lists in this project. They will create multiple lists and also use the sensing block to make Rapunzel learn. Day 10, 11 and 12 : SnowWhite's Run : Students will learn how to create a scrolling background and help Snow White collect the apples. Students will add various blocks from motions category to make Snow-White jump. Students will also create variables like "lives" and "score" Day 13, 14 and 15 : Dress Up Princess Jasmine: Students will learn to add multiple costumes and create thumbnail of those costumes for costume selection. Students will also create a multiple page selection corner to dress up Princess Jasmine. This is a highly interactive class where students would be answering questions and discussing their own creative ideas with the teacher. The teacher would follow the pace of the students and will complete the projects accordingly. Basic knowledge of Scratch would help though is not mandatory.
