The course provides an introduction to creative computing with Scratch. Students will learn how AI concepts work using Scratch Programming. Scratch’s blocky components were created with all of its computer code built in and behind the scenes. Therefore, anyone can create simple to complex programs and activities using Scratch. *********. This class needs prior scratch experience - please refer to our beginners course in scratch. ****************** In this lesson plan they create games and use Artificial Intelligence to play against the computer. Day 1 and 2: Rock Paper Scissors - Students will play rock paper scissor against computer. The game doesn't end. They will learn to code the computer to randomly produce rock, paper or scissor. Day 3 and 4 : Tesla/ self drive car - Students will learn to code a self-driven car that is competing to finish the race. Students will create sprites that will act like detectors for the car to turn. Day 5 and 6 : AI Tank - Students will learn to code a tank to follow the other tank and aim its missiles on it. They will learn to detect position and aim a sprite to its path. This class goes as per the pace of the learners and the teacher will help them code alongside. Having 2 devices for this class is advisable but if the learner knows how to switch tabs then it will not be a challenge. If the pace is slow of the learners then the teacher might skip a game.
