Assessment
During our Ceilidh, we will review everything that we have learned throughout the week. As the teacher, I will assess each child on their understanding of the topics that we covered throughout the week. This will be done in a relaxed, fun manner, so that the students do not know that they are being assessed.

Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Beginner - Intermediate Level
This class will cover several different Scottish art forms and Scottish heritage. We will start with an introduction to Scottish highland dance. Next we will learn Scottish songs-both traditional and children's songs. Following songs, we will learn about clans, tartans, and Scottish dress. After that, we will learn about Ceilidhs (Scottish parties) and Scottish food. At the end of the week, we will have our own Ceilidh to review everything we learned, and to wrap up our week.

Class will be structured as a small group class, and I will teach in a small group format-where my students are allowed to ask questions along the way. I have a relaxed teaching style, as this is a camp and should be fun; however I will redirect poor behavior if needed. We will use lecture, discussion, slides and video clips.
