Class Experience

Please note: There are no live meetings for this class.

I will be using Apple's Garageband to score to picture. I reccomend using the same if possible. Other DAW's that could be used include Logic Pro, Ableton Live, or Pro Tools.

In this course, students will learn the art of composing music for picture. Each week, we'll cover different aspects of the composition process, from understanding the basics of GarageBand to creating a complete soundtrack for a provided piece of media. Through detailed demonstrations and hands-on assignments, students will follow along as I compose music for the same media, allowing them to see the creative process in action and apply the techniques to their own work.

Students will learn how to compose music to picture.

The class is structured into 12 lessons, with each lesson building on the previous one to develop a complete composition.

I will provide detailed video demonstrations and step-by-step instructions for each aspect of the composition process.

My teaching style is hands-on and interactive, with clear demonstrations and practical assignments.
