Regular assessments will be conducted throughout the course to determine the student’s current level and identify any areas where they may be struggling. These assessments help me tailor the lessons to better meet the student's needs and ensure they are progressing effectively.Class Experience
What will be taught? Students will be taught comprehensive strategies and content review tailored specifically for the SAT, covering critical reading, math (including algebra, geometry, and data analysis), and writing (including essay composition and grammar). What topics will you cover? The class will cover SAT-specific test-taking strategies, practice tests, timed exercises, vocabulary building, problem-solving techniques, and essay writing skills. How is your class structured? Classes are structured with a mix of content review, strategy sessions, practice tests, and individualized feedback sessions. Each session will focus on specific sections of the SAT, ensuring comprehensive preparation. How will you teach? I use a blend of interactive lectures, hands-on practice, group discussions, and one-on-one coaching to cater to diverse learning styles and needs. Practice questions and mock exams simulate real test conditions to build familiarity and confidence. What's your teaching style? My teaching style is rigorous yet supportive, emphasizing skill development through continuous practice and constructive feedback. Pre-Requisites
Basic math skills, such as multiplication and division, are required for this course. While I can assist with these skills if needed, it may take time away from the PSAT prep material. Please feel free to contact me if this is the case.
