*Note - Please send me a message if you would prefer this class to be 1:1. In this book club style class, each week students will meet to listen to a different Scooby Doo book from the Mini-Mysteries series written by John Sazaklis. Students will practice reading, predict parts of the story and answer questions before, during, and after the read-aloud. Each week, we will used shared reading strategies to read the book of the week. After the book, students will complete a fun drawing activity. Mini-Mysteries Series The mini-mysteries series of books includes 8 books for young readers and includes illustrations throughout the story that helps to animate the story for readers! Class Setup My screen will be shared to show the book while reading aloud. It is beneficial if students have a copy for independent reading after class. These books can be found online to purchase a physical copy or a digital (Kindle) copy. Hello! My name is Ms. C. I am so excited to see you in my Outschool classroom! I offer many classes related to dogs, wildlife, science, reading, and writing. I love teaching topics from the beautiful animals here on Earth to the gorgeous stars in the sky. I love incorporating reading, art and science all together. I have my Associate’s degree in Animal Science, Associate’s degree in Elementary Education, and my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Middle Dual Education with a specialization in Science. I am a certified teacher, and I am currently a substitute teacher and an Outschool teacher. I strive to support all my students in learning and welcoming them to a safe space. I encourage creativity, pursuing interests, and a passion for lifelong learning. I enjoy reading, writing, and being outside. A hobby that has always helped me relax has been drawing or painting.
