I live in the southeastern area of the United States and even though autumn is here, thunderstorms do occur. In this one time class, the kids will learn about the science of thunderstorms. I like to use visual graphics such as slideshows and videos so that the kids are able to see the science concepts they are learning in our class. I like to ask questions to start class discussions, and I encourage the kids to ask questions and share any knowledge they have about the science concepts in...
I have been with Outschool since October 2020, and I have over 30 years experience teaching elementary age kids as a public school teacher and as a private instructor. I have taught a high school meteorology high school class with my local homeschool organization.
3 files available upon enrollmentPDFs of a blank map of the United States, a Thunderstorms worksheet, and a Types of Thunderstorms worksheet are available in the classroom so that they can be printed for class. The kids will also need a pencil with an eraser and colored pencils.
