Class Experience
This class typically meets twice a week for two weeks, but if you have a special request for meeting once a week, please send me a message. On day 1 we will learn about sub atomic particles and the nucleus. The kids will use the periodic table as well. The kids will be engaged through a slideshow, video clips, and a hands-on project. We will build an atomic model of an element from the periodic table using your choice of either clay , play doh or edible items such as gummy bears,...
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn the basics of atomic structure and chemical bonding.
I have taught chemistry to elementary age children as a public school teacher and on Outschool. I have also taught chemistry to middle school students through my local homeschool co-op, and I am currently teaching high school chemistry to teens in my homeschool co-op.
