Beginner Level
In this 4 day class, your child will be introduced to the wonder of chemistry. They will be learning about atomic structure and why we have chemical reactions, On day 1, we will learn about atomic structure: the nucleus, protons, neutrons, and electrons. The kids will be engaged through a slideshow, class discussion, and a hands-on project. We will build atomic models of different elements using your choice of either clay or edible items such as gummy bears, gumdrops, small...
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn basics of: atomic structure, chemical bonding, electrons, and how to read the information on the periodic table.
I have taught chemistry to elementary age children as a public school teacher and on Outschool. I have also taught chemistry to middle school students through my local homeschool co-op, and high school chemistry to teens in my homeschool co-op.
