Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will use their writing skills and grammar skills as they complete their Animals of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park book. They will also learn about specific animals that live in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park as well as be introduced to animal classification.
I live nearby the Great Smoky Mountains National Park , and I have hiked many of its trails. I've also been a citizen scientist with The Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont.
1 file available upon enrollment14 sheets of white printer paper ( 8 1/2 x 11 inches) have a few extra Yarn (color of your choice) ( Will be needed the last class meeting) Hand held hole puncher 14 lunch size paper bags ; have a few extra in case a bag is torn( the brown ones will be fine; white or a light color will be good too) Crayons, markers, or colored pencils Pencil with eraser A pair of scissors The supply list will be in the classroom as a PDF.
4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The kids will need to use scissors.
