Class Experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 12
Beginner - Advanced Level
In these individualized classes, I can teach a new concept, help your student dive deeper into an idea they struggle to grasp or help your student get ahead in their science studies. My degree is in Biology, but I have taught K-12 science for ten years. I like to use small activities, visuals, simulations, stories, videos, and even games to teach science concepts. If your student has a hard time in a traditional setting or your school has decided to cut science instruction during eLearning, I am here for you! I have scheduled times, but feel free to request a time. I will need to know what subject your student is interested in, what concept(s) they struggle with during their traditional instruction, and how they learn best. I look forward to meeting your student and helping them reach their goals while sparking an interest in science. See you soon! Examples of Topics **These are examples, but I am open to teaching any science-based lesson** Scientific Method, Metric System, and Conducting Experiments Chemistry - Matter, Atoms, Molecules, The Periodic Table, Chemical Reactions/Equations, Types of Bonding, Formulas, and Naming Biology (micro) - The Cell, Organelles, Photosynthesis, and Cellular Respiration Biology (human anatomy/physiology) - Body Systems, Organ Functions, and Bodily Processes Biology (environmental) - Habitats, Ecosystems, Food Chains/Webs, Adaptations, and Nutrient Cycles Physics - Matter, Energy, Simple Machines, Forces, Motion, Newton's Laws, Electromagnetic Spectrum, Electromagnetism, Electrical Circuits, and Basic Quantum Mechanics
Learning Goals
This will depend on the needs of the student.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
We will use third-party apps such as Phet simulations to help students reinforce concepts during our lesson. For example, if we are learning about circuits, we will use the simulation to create our own to support learning and assess students' understanding.
I like to end with a review game at the end of class. These reviews are usually on Blooket, but sometimes we will use Gimkit or Quizlet, depending on the student's age.
Supply List
This will depend on the needs of the student.

Welcome to my Outschool profile! I'm an enthusiastic science educator with a passion for inspiring young minds. With over a decade of teaching experience, I specialize in middle and high school sciences, including chemistry, physics, and biology.
My approach to teaching is all about making science relatable, exciting, and empowering for students. I focus not just on the facts but on teaching them how to think like scientists, solve problems, and use scientific language effectively. This builds their confidence and helps them see science as a skill they can master, opening doors to further exploration and advanced studies.
Whether you're looking for ongoing classes, one-time sessions, or semester-long courses, I offer a range of options to suit your needs. I'm also available for personalized tutoring and test preparation. If you are still looking for a time or topic that fits your schedule, feel free to reach out, and I'll do my best to accommodate you.
Let's embark on a journey of discovery and learning together! I can't wait to share my love for science with your students. Contact me to discuss how we can make science come alive in a way that's meaningful and fun for them. See you in class!
