Advancements in science happen every minute of every day and there is always something new to discuss. Since things can happen quickly in science, topics will change weekly and may change suddenly. A new development is most interesting to talk about while it is topical and classes will follow a format that can adapt to new information. Some weeks may be slower than others, at which time topics will divert to interesting scientific history and things that students have experienced that have...
Conversational skills (both listening and speaking), critical thinking, gaining an interest in new topics, and sharing their interests with others.
I have been a scientist for more than 15 years with experience in a number of scientific fields.
Homework Offered
No outside class time will be necessary, but students are encouraged to think about the world around them and bring their curiosities to class.Assessments Offered

This course is discussion-based, but students may want to bring some note-taking materials if they desire. I always have a notebook nearby to jot down something that I wonder about, and I will be making note of students' interests throughout this course.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There is potential for complicated or sensitive topics to be discussed, but always in a scientific/clinic format.
