Have you ever wondered what your dog is thinking? Or wanted to build your own robot? Maybe you want to know the perfect lip balm recipe? These are a few ideas for your very own science fair project! Experimenting and trying out new ideas can be a lot of fun. In this class students will get to do just that. In the first couple weeks, we’ll learn about the scientific method and brainstorm ideas for projects. In the following weeks we’ll work on projects both in class and at home. Projects can...

Assessments Offered
Grades Offered
Exact materials will be dependent on the project the learner chooses. However, all learners will need a trifold board for their visual display and presentation. I suggest each learner also has a notebook or science fair folder to keep track of their work from week to week.
Parent involvement in at home work is dependent on the project the learner chooses and the requirements of the project. Each learner is encouraged to choose a project based on their interests and ability levels. Parents are encouraged to serve as a guide/research assistant when needed.
Learners can use https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/science-projects to research project ideas. The projects can be sorted by age/grade/interests/etc. This is only one possible source. Learners are free to use parent/guardian approved books, website or their interest/hobby to come up with a project.
