Description
Class Experience
Students will identify and describe the purpose and components of blood. Students will learn how animals' blood can be different colors other than red. Students will complete a STEM activity where they will continue to explore the parts of blood.
A handful of small RED items (examples include skittles, M&Ms, beans, pieces of strawberries, beads, Legos, etc.) A handful of small WHITE items (examples include marshmallows, beans, beads, Legos, etc.) A handful of small objects any color (examples include sprinkles, rice, lentils, popcorn kernels, etc.) 1 -2 cups of a liquid (examples include water, corn syrup, dish soap, etc.) Clear bowl or clear cup or empty water bottle If using an empty water bottle, students might need a funnel or assistance while pouring the items.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
