Class experience
This is a perfect class for spring as we EGG-plore different types of eggs! We will discuss the wide variety of animals that lay eggs including reptiles, birds, arthropods (insects and spiders), fish, and dinosaurs! We will learn answers to the following questions: Which animals lay eggs with no shell? What animal lays the most eggs at one time? (about 300 million eggs!) How...
Students will identify which animals lay eggs. Students will learn facts about eggs from each animal group. Students will discuss the vocabulary related to an egg including shell, albumen, yolk, and air cell. Students will explore a hard boiled egg in order to identify all the parts.

Please note that students may need guidance or supervision while participating in the 'dissection.' It is suggested that students use a plastic knife to cut through the egg. However, this could still lead to injury if used improperly.
