US Grade 4 - 7
Beginner Level
Are you looking for an engaging and interactive way for your child to learn about science, chemistry, and physics? Our program, "Science of Minecraft: Chemistry & Physics," uses the popular video game Minecraft as a virtual laboratory to teach kids about STEM topics through design, crafting, and testing experiments.

In this program, students will explore physics concepts such as potential and kinetic energy, speed, acceleration, and gravity. They will also learn about atoms, molecules, and elements in chemistry labs, experiment with the periodic table, and create compounds using molecules to witness fascinating reactions like sparklers, glowsticks, and floating balloons.

This eight-week course is designed for students that are between 10 to 14 years old and is perfect for all skill levels as no prior experience is required. Our student-centered learning approach and collaborative projects encourage learners to engage and learn in a fun and interactive way.

Our program focuses on teaching the following topics:

   - Understanding chemistry with a focus on atoms, molecules, and elements
   - Exploring physics with a focus on potential and kinetic energy, speed, acceleration, and gravity
   - Creating Minecraft-based lab work focused on the periodic table and learning about chemical reactions
   - Learning how Minecraft can be used to build with concepts like physics in mind
   - Learning how Minecraft can be used to experiment with elements, explore the periodic table, and create chemical reactions

Each day, our class structure is focused on the specific topic of study. Students will participate in hands-on activities, experiments, and projects to help reinforce their understanding of these concepts. We will also use visual aids such as slides and video clips to keep our classes engaging and informative. We encourage open discussions, questions, and feedback to create a positive and collaborative learning environment.

Week one the students will learn about chemistry and compounds and after the lesson the student will get into a secure Minecraft Education Server and start experiments with elements. Week two - three the students will learn about metamaterials and assembling compounds in Minecraft and then will brainstorm a build project for a laboratory and start building it. Day Week four - five the students will learn about physics concepts and add roller coasters to their large group project. Week five to six the students will continue learning about elements. They will mix elements together to make fireworks, balloons and glow-sticks. Week 7 to eight they will continue working on their large projects. They will add finishing touches to their project and review the concepts they learned in this fun 8 week-long program.

Our teaching style is based on providing an interactive and engaging experience for all students. We aim to make learning fun and meaningful. Students will have plenty of opportunities to interact with each other through collaborative projects, group discussions, and Minecraft-based activities.

No prior experience is necessary for this course. We welcome students of all skill levels who are curious about science and want to explore these fascinating topics in a fun and interactive way.

Join us for the "Science of Minecraft: Chemistry & Physics" and watch as your child's curiosity about science, chemistry, and physics comes to life through virtual simulations and Minecraft-based experiments!

English Language Requirement: This class is designed for students who can communicate comfortably in English at a basic to intermediate level (CEFR A2-B1). Students should be able to understand simple instructions, ask questions, and engage in discussions about their coding projects. If you're unsure about your child's proficiency level, feel free to reach out for guidance!
