Class experience

US Grade 1 - 4
4 lessons//4 Weeks
 Week 1
Lesson 1
Self-Inflating Balloon
This lesson is about chemical reactions.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Rain Cloud in a Jar
This lesson is about weather science.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Fluffy Slime
This lesson is about polymers.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Homemade Lava Lamp
This lesson is about density.
Materials are usually easy to find household items.

I also recommend students bring a notebook or folder with paper so they may record their findings each week!

If you are ever missing any of the materials, just let me know. There are always alternatives, or you can simply watch the experiments and still enjoy the class!

Supplies for the 1st week:

Funnel
Measuring spoon (teaspoon)
empty water bottle
1 latex balloon
White Vinegar
Baking soda
A shallow dish just in case experiment overflows

Supplies for the 2nd week:

clear cup or jar
shaving cream
water
blue food coloring

Supplies for the 3rd week:

a bowl
4 oz while Elmer's Glue
1-2 cups of shaving cream (I recommend Barbasol)
contact solution
a tablespoon
food coloring (optional)
spoon to stir with

Supplies for the 4th week:

A clear jar with lid (a stage 2 or 3 baby food jar would work great!)
vegetable oil
water
food coloring
an antacid tablet

Some of the experiments may require help from an adult especially with pouring some ingredients.
