Join us for a science adventure exploring the rock cycle through hands-on and engaging activities! We will be covering important 1st-grade science standards while learning about the world around us! In this 2 week course, we will meet twice a week for 30 minutes. Students will learn about rocks, minerals, and the rock cycle. Day 1 & Day 2 - Geologists, Rocks & Minerals: Learn vocabulary & apply it in hands-on activities/experiments Day 3 & Day 4 - Types of Rocks & The Rock Cycle: Learn vocabulary & apply it in hands-on activities/experiments Vocabulary/Objectives covered over the 2 weeks: Geologist, Rocks, Minerals, Properties, Igneous, Sedimentary, Metamorphic, Rock Cycle Together we will learn through movement, discussions, and experiments. This will be a fun and engaging science class with new friends. No prior knowledge is needed!

Supply List
pencil & eraser crayons, colored pencils, or markers 1 package of starburst rocks from your backyard worksheets (PDF's provided 24 hours in advance) *Any other materials needed for experiments will be communicated with at least 24 hours' notice.
