Class Experience

Join us for a science adventure exploring the planets and stars through hands-on and engaging activities! We will be covering important 1st-grade science standards while learning about the world around us! 

In this 2 week course, we will meet twice a week for 30 minutes. Students will learn about the Planets & Stars. 

Day 1 & Day 2 - The Planets:
Planet names, order, and facts

Day 3 & Day 4 - Stars:
What are stars?
Famous Constellations

Together we will learn through movement,...

Students will learn:

Earth Science Standards (NGSS):
ESS1.1 – Use observations of the sun, moon, and stars to describe patterns that can be predicted.

- what stars are
- famous constellations

pencil & eraser
paper
crayons, colored pencils, or markers
mini marshmallows
toothpicks
worksheets (PDF's provided 24 hours in advance)
*Any other materials needed for experiments will be communicated with at least 24 hours' notice.

1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
