Description
Class Experience
Join our fun science investigation class where you get to learn about the way things work whilst completing your own science experiments at home. This lesson focuses on completing investigations for students to create predictions, make observations, and see how things work first-hand. Students will be introduced to the lesson's experiment, which is creating an invisible ink message for valentines. They will have a handout to complete and list their predictions, observations, and results....
Students will participate in a range of scientific investigations. Students will make observations about what is happening. Students will create predictions/hypothesis. Students will learn scientific terminology.
Students will need the experiment handout and a pencil to complete their answers plus: a lemon and lemon squeezer (if you have one) scissors heart template (provided) earbuds bowl torch.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will need items such as a torch and a lemon. The lemon needs to be sliced in advance of the class by a grown-up so students can squeeze the lemon juice. For the torch, please ensure you are present so that students do not shine it in their eyes. They will be reminded of the safety surrounding using a torch. Scissors are also required in order to cut out the template. This can be cut before the start of class by a grown-up or by the student assisted by a grown-up.
