Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to conduct valid scientific investigations involving controls, independent variables, and dependent variables, as they explore the forces of gravity, friction, and magnetism. The final product of the course will be a product of their choice with suggestions provided via a product menu to be evaluated via a provided rubric.
I served as a public school educator for over 26 years. During that time, I specialized in science, math, and STEM engineering design, including coding and robotics through after school programs. After leaving the classroom, I was a science and math instructional coach in the largest school district in my state, working to help teachers improve academic achievement in science and math with their students.
Some optional web activities and reading will be provided. Projects will be completed individually and shared on the class page. Students will also interact through peer discussion and teacher posted questions on the class page.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will be assessed using a rubric, which will be provided at the beginning of the course.
