In this course, students will read a short story each week and will work through analyzing them for literary elements and vocabulary terms and they will participate in a discussion.

Class experience

US Grade 5 - 7
Students will be able to:
     - Plot a Diagram for each Story
     - Define and Identify Setting, Character, Theme, Symbolism
     - Define and Identify one and Mood
     - Read, Discuss, and Analyze a Short Story and Video 
     - Define and Identify Types of Iron
     - Comparing and Apply Irony to Real-Life Applications
     - Analyze Evidence
     - Annotate Short Stories for Reading Comprehension
I have taught professionally for many years and short stories are perfect for working with plot diagrams and literary elements all while participating in discussions and debates.
Homework Offered
Students may be asked to complete assignments from class outside of class if we are unable to finish.

Materials will be posted in the classroom at least 24 hours before each class with instructions on printing, writing, or anything else that might need to happen.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
