Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 8
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Are you curious about the wonders of science and ready to dive deeper into fascinating topics? Join us for a weekly exploration where we discuss intriguing science concepts inspired by articles from OYLA Magazine, a renowned resource for science enthusiasts!

Each week, students will be introduced to a new topic selected from the magazine—ranging from physics and biology to technology, space, and beyond. The topic will be announced one week in advance, allowing students to explore the subject independently. During class, students will share their discoveries, insights, and questions, fostering a collaborative group discussion.

Together, we will:

Examine the key ideas from the selected OYLA article.

Discuss real-world applications and the significance of the topic.

Share perspectives and additional research to expand our understanding.

Develop critical thinking, discussion, and presentation skills.

This class is perfect for students who love science, enjoy engaging in meaningful discussions, and want to deepen their knowledge. No prior expertise is required—just a curious mind and a willingness to learn from and contribute to the group.

What to Expect:

Each week’s topic will be shared in the classroom.

Students are encouraged to research the topic and come prepared with insights, questions, or interesting facts to share.

The discussion will be guided by the teacher, but students will have the spotlight to lead and collaborate.

Astrophysics - The theories behind the lifecycle of the universe.
Physics - Why do thunderstorms happen?
Medicine - How does the body react to cold?
Computer Science and Math - How does propositional logic work?
