This Hands-On Science course meets live once a week for 6 weeks. Each week students will explore the states of matter through engaging discussions and experiments. My teaching style is very interactive, so student participation is strongly encouraged, but never forced. The first class will include introductions, then the following 5 classes with begin with a review. The teacher will teach a new concept each week, then students will participate in an experiment to better understand and apply...

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners will be assessed informally throughout class through games and review questions.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
If your child would like to conduct the experiments at home each week, rather than just watch them, you will need to check the supply list for each week and have the materials and an area ready for them. Some parental assistance may be required when pouring and measuring. Week 6 we learn about plasma and create plasma by microwaving grapes. This creates a burst of plasma which looks like a small fire. If your child would like to do this at home, they will need close supervision. Students can also just watch week 6 experiment in class or use a plasma ball during the experiments.
