Class Experience

Our escape room participants will be junior hematologists who have been shrunk into the human blood stream to find the golden platelet. We have under 30 minutes to explore the blood stream, answer mystery questions about blood, and find the golden platelet.

We will learn about: 

1. Components of blood and their functions (e.g. red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets)
2. What is transported in blood (e.g. oxygen)
3. The difference between arteries and veins

Students will continue to learn and build:

*Teamwork and positive encouragement
*Listening skills and following clues/instructions
*Scientific concepts related to blood

I am a certified teacher. I have 15 years of teaching experience. I have been a grade one classroom teacher. I have also tutored grade 1, 2, and 3 students for 13 years. I love science and have taught science classes over the years too. 

Creation, education, and inspiration are key as well as making learning FUN!

There will be no homework with this course however participants will receive a certificate and bonus activity.

No supplies are needed. Bring your incredible selves. :)

30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
