Join me in an engaging hands on science experiment each week! Students have the option of completing the experiment along with me in class or observing in class and working through on their own time outside of class! We will complete the experiment/ demonstration and then take a dive into learning about the topic. Students will have a chance to ask questions and discuss the science. I will include ingredients and procedures so students can follow along or do at home later. No background...

1 file available upon enrollment You will download a complete supply list once you sign up, but here are some basic ingredients per lesson. Participation is optional. Elephant Toothpaste: yeast, dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, water, water bottle or vase with neck Rock Formations: 3 colors of Starburst squares in wrapper, ziplock back is optional Magnetic Food: Brand Total Cereal, strong magnet (I suggest neodymium. Fridge magnet will not work) Hydrolysis of Water: 9V battery, two pencils sharpened on both ends, cardboard or card stock, cup of water filled to where the pencils are just covered Tectonic Plates: 1 graham cracker, marshmallow puff or fluff Coke Vs. Diet Coke/ Density Tower May do 1 or both experiments. Coke and Diet coke in cans, same size. Tub of water that will fit both. Water, oil, small plastic object to submerge, *optional* rubbing alcohol, honey or syrup, food coloring, Circuits **requires a circuit kit from Amazon or local store, but students can always join and watch!** Cleaning coins: ketchup, vinegar, lemon juice, water, 4 dirty pennies Potentially special order products: Circuit kit Strong magnet, such as neodymium
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
