Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
Welcome to Friendship Haven Online Learning!

Do you have a experiment loving learner in your house? This is the perfect class for them! We will learn science with experiments weekly. We will start with introductions, discuss the topic and review the scientific procedure. We will review the materials required then start our experiment! We will draw conclusions as a group and discuss why we achieved specific results.

Topics covered in class will consist of but not limited to: animals, seasons, volcanos, brains, digestive systems, bones, germs, water, clouds and rainbows! This class is learner-directed, so topics will be tailored to focus on our current interests. We will learn chemistry, environmental science, physics, botany, zoology and even more biology.

The teacher will ensure each student gets a chance to speak and ask questions if they wish, while respecting anyone who may not feel comfortable doing so. I'm a firm believer that children do learn best when they're able to use their bodies to learn, as well as their minds! We don't often use mute and learners speak freely to each other when possible. It's rewarding watching the connections that happen during this class. Topics will be customized based on each group's individual interests and needs. The list below is a brief overview of our experiment but the class will include more learning concepts based on student interest. Materials will be posted in the classroom but you can message us for a list before signing up if needed. It's fun to see where our imaginations take us each class! We LOVE experiments and hands-on activities using common household items.

Let's learn together!
