This is a condensed version of my 5-week Chemistry 301 course, set to run over 2 weeks with new lessons every other day. What did the hispter ice cube say? "I was water before it was cool." This camp is designed to provide an more in-depth look at the states of matter. Many topics will be covered over this 2 week, 5 lesson class that will give the student a better understanding of solids, liquids, and gasses. Students will have the opportunity to practice what they learn each lesson. ...
Students will have an understanding of the Chemical vs. Physical changes Students will have an understanding of the effects of temperature on the phases of matter Students will have an understanding of the properties of solids, liquids, and gases.
I have taught chemistry and chemical engineering at the college level, and have been teaching science to home school elementary, middle and high school students for 10 years. I know how to present science in a fun way to boost students interest in the subject.
Each lesson a 1-2 page sheet of practice problems will be given for students to reinforce what they are learning in the class.
Notes pages for each lesson and practice problems will be provided by the teacher.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
