This is a condensed version of my 5-week Chemistry 101 course, set to run over 2 weeks with new lessons every other day. Why should you not trust an atom? Because they make up everything! This camp is designed to provide an introduction to atoms and the world of chemical compounds. Many key chemistry topics will be covered over this 2 week long, 5 lesson camp that will give the student a basic understanding of atoms and how they form molecules. Students will have the opportunity to...
Students will have a basic understanding of atoms and how they form the molecules in our world. Students will be able to name simple chemical compounds and read the periodic table.
I have taught chemistry and chemical engineering at the college level, and have been teaching science to home school elementary, middle and high school students for 10 years. I know how to present science in a fun way to boost students interest in the subject.
Every lesson, a 1-2 page sheet of practice problems will be given for students to reinforce what they are learning in the class.
Notes pages for each lesson and practice problems will be provided by the teacher.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
