We will learn about some amazing animals and what they do to survive. This class will teach some structures that help animals thrive and discuss the functions of those structures. This class will include direct teaching from the teacher via Google Slides, as well as allowing time for students to share what they know. We will play a 'What could this be used for?' game to think of ways animals may use certain objects to help them survive. In the second class, students will bring an animal...
Students will learn some animal adaptations and be creative in designing their own animal.
After class 1, students will be given the task to create an imaginary animal. Students will tell what adaptations help this imaginary animal survive and why.
No materials needed, but in class 2, students will bring an imaginary animal that they have created to present to the class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
