In this weekly class, we will read and discuss graphic novels. We will explore various plot elements and also discuss art and design choices that help tell the story through graphics.

Class Experience

Join me in this ongoing class as we discuss a different graphic novel each week. 

Book discussions are a great way to foster a love of reading and lay the foundations for future literary analysis. Students will be encouraged to share their ideas, thoughts, and conclusions about various aspects of the book. We'll discuss topics such as plot elements,...

Students should read the graphic novel prior to the class meeting so they can participate in our dicussion.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.

The titles selected are written for middle school-age students (or younger), but you know your child best. Review the content of these graphic novels using websites such as Common Sense Media.
