Grammar provides the building blocks for children to understand & express themselves in longer more complex ways and understand more complex ideas. Grammar will also compliment students' Linguistic development in other areas such as Vocabulary, Social Skills, Narrative Skills, Writing Skills, and even daily conversations. School of Grammar is an Ongoing Class built for learners in Grades 1 - 2. This class will meet twice per week to EXPLORE all the various types of Grammar by Topics. Grammar Worksheets will be provided prior to class for students to access via Outschool, during ALL Live Classes as part of the course material to enhance learning and interaction. These worksheets can double as comprehension and vocabulary exercises. Learners are welcome to join this class or leave at any time because the lessons are not built on previous ones. GRAMMAR TOPICS ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ NOUNS ********** Week of March 13: Identifying Nouns: Students find and circle nouns from a worksheet list. Week of March 20: Identifying Nouns in Sentences: through speaking & writing. Week of March 27: Using Nouns to complete short sentences: Students first identify the nouns in sample sentences, then write their own sentences with images again to identify the nouns PLURAL NOUNS ******************** Week of April 03: Introducing & Identifying Plural Nouns Week of April 10: Introducing & Identifying "Singular" & "Plural" Nouns Week of April 17: Learning when to add 's' or 'es' to make nouns plural Week of April 24: Learning about nouns ending in Y: we add 'ies' to its plural. Teacher expertise and credentials
I've been teaching Preschoolers and Elementary for over ten years. I hold an Associates's Degree in Communication and a TEFL/TESOL Certification with Teaching Training in the English Language.
My aspiration is to become a Speech-Language Pathologist, to bridge the gap with students who struggle with Speech, Language, and Reading delays.
Additionally, I'm also an enthusiastic Reading Specialist, whose passion and knowledge for teaching English are unlimited to Age or Culture. My goal as an English Language Educator is to inspire and shape the minds of young learners to see the Joy in language as they become better equipped with the fundamentals skills to be able to read, write, & explore more within themselves.
