Scarecrow Story Time and Activities

The teacher will read the story, Sam The Sneezing Scarecrow, written by Amanda Kidd and Illustrated by Noor Alshalabi.
The story is about a scarecrow who has to find "his purpose."                                     
Learners will be asked comprehension questions throughout the story.        
The questions will focus on predicting and cause and effect. These are two very important reading skills.                                               
The teacher and learners will play games such as "Help Sam the scarecrow make it through a maze to scare the crows," learners will also draw their own scarecrows, and create words using the word (Scarecrow).
