I have taught and tutored math for about twenty years. I hold a current teaching certificate in K-8 elementary school, with a focus on math. I am halfway to my master's in secondary math. I really enjoy math - it is very relateable to food and money!
Homework Offered
Complete homework from the textbook for each lesson. Complete any assigned tests. Send pictures of tests to the teacher in private messages before the next class.
2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Progress will be evaluated during the lessons based on learner work. The teacher may contact the learner's guardians as needed. Guardians are welcome to contact the teacher as needed. Progress will be evaluated with the Saxon tests if requesting a grade. Minute fact tests should be completed without any assistance from calculators, parents, etc. Assigned Saxon tests should be completed without assistance from parents or other people. Calculators may or may not be used, and this will be stated by your teacher when the assessment is assigned.
Grades Offered
Grades, Scoring: 1) I can assign grades if requested. The learner must turn in their tests to receive a grade. Please let me know if you are requesting a grade for the semester. 2) I do not grade homework. Learners are welcome to ask individual questions or post photos for homework review. It is not required to submit homework. 3) If the learner is not requesting a grade, submitting "Tests" is not required. 4) The "Solution Manual" contains the answers to the lesson homework and test answers.
Prerequisite:
1) The previous semester.
2) Placement tests can be found here: https://www.christianbook.com/page/homeschool/math/saxon-math (I am not affiliated with this site.)
3) or approval of the teacher.
Required:
1) Saxon Geometry Textbook

Optional
1) Saxon Geometry Testing Book
2) Saxon Geometry Solution Manual
